Alberta Society of Professional Biologists Scholarship

The Alberta Society of Professional Biologists (ASPB) is the regulatory body for biologists in Alberta. The ASPB’s purpose is to protect the public of Alberta by ensuring biologists are qualified to practice biology in accordance with legislation. Students learning biology in Alberta should know about regulating bodies and when they need to be regulated to practice biology in Alberta. Through the ASPB you can apply for the designation of Professional Biologist (P. Biol.) after you have completed all the education and experience requirements. While the ASPB has a number of different membership categories, student memberships are free so that students can participate in many benefits including mentorship and scholarship opportunities.
