Randy Stefanizyn Bursary II

Born in Viking, Alberta, Randy completed his post-secondary studies in Welding Engineering and was employed at Hanson Materials Engineering. Randy began his career with Syncrude Canada when he moved to Fort McMurray in 1984. In over 30 years with Syncrude, Randy held a variety of positions, including Implementation Manager, Start-up Manager, Construction Services Manager and, most recently, Manager Corporate Labour Relations.
During this time, Randy helped found and held the position of Chair of the board of directors for Alberta Council of Turnaround Maintenance Stakeholders (ACTIMS) and Construction Industry Stakeholder Association of Alberta (CISAA) as well as being involved in other industry and community initiatives. He and his wife Lynne have two daughters, Amanda and Kelsey, and two grandchildren. This award has been established as a thank you to Randy on behalf of ACTIMS.

Available to students enrolled in any period and program of Apprenticeship training at NAIT. Awarded on the basis of financial need, and to a well-rounded apprentice who demonstrates strong leadership aptitude through participation in school or community involvement/volunteer work.

Apprentices must submit an application to be considered for this award. Apprentices will only be considered for the intake they attend NAIT.
