Josef Lapes Memorial Bursary

Josef Lapes was born and educated in Czechoslovakia and emigrated to Canada in 1982; he graduated from the NAIT Carpentry program in the early 80’s. Josef Lapes and his business partner Milan Fischgrund established Pemco Construction Ltd. on February 1, 1990. Pemco Construction Ltd. has become a very successful organization in our community. Josef was well known in the industry for his dedication to every project, creating relationships, and exceeding expectations.

Available to second period students enrolled in the Carpenter Apprenticeship program. Awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need and satisfactory academic achievement.

Apprentices must submit an application to be considered for this award. Apprentices will only be considered for the intake they attend NAIT.
