MacPherson Apprenticeship Bursary (Intakes I-V)
Ms. MacPherson believed that a career in the trades allowed individuals to provide a good life for themselves and their family. Apprenticing allows students to work while gaining hands on experience to further their training in the classroom. These awards were created to support the next generation of trades people in Alberta.
Available to students enrolled in the third period of the Boilermaker, Carpenter, Electrician, Iron Worker, Plumber, Powerline Technician, or Steamfitter/Pipefitter Apprenticeship program at NAIT. Awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need and a minimum academic achievement of 70%. Preference may be given to single parents or children from single parent homes.
Students must submit an application to be considered for this award. Students will only be considered for the intake they attend NAIT.
