David J. Hagen Memorial Prize

David J. Hagen, commissioned as an Alberta Land Surveyor, believed strongly that land surveying is an essential part of Alberta’s history and future success. He was also a strong believer in the education received by graduates of the Geomatics Engineering Technology program at NAIT and cherished the time he spent mentoring graduates, helping them to become esteemed members of the industry.
His wife, Karima Afchar, and Hagen Surveys, the company he presided over for almost 25 years, establish this award to honor David and his accomplishments.
Available to students enrolled in Cadastral Studies SURV2301, Map Projections SURV2347, and Plans of Survey SURV2451. Awarded on the basis of highest average mark in the courses.

Students will be automatically considered for this award. No application is required.
