Christopher Atkin Memorial Award

This award is provided in memory of former NAIT student, paramedic and avid animal lover, Christopher Atkin. His love of his profession and helping others was second to his dedication to his two precious pups. Chris was as well known for his compassion to those in his care as he was for his wit and humor, even during the most difficult of calls or times. He embodied what it is to be a paramedic and left an imprint on all those blessed enough to have known him, even in the briefest of moments.
Available to students enrolled in the final year of the Advanced Care Paramedic program at NAIT. Awarded on the basis of an essay submission outlining the student’s commitment to patient care and building resiliency and supporting their mental well-being, that of their fellow responders, and the profession as a whole.

Students must complete the application to be considered for this award.
