Available to first year students from historically marginalized and excluded communities (Aboriginal students, Women and or gender minorities in male-dominated programs, 2SLGBTQIA+ students, students with a prolonged or persistent disability, single-parents or children of single-parents, visible minorities or racialized people) enrolled in the Radio and Television Arts – TV program. Awarded on the basis of a written statement detailing the applicants personal journey to post-secondary and satisfactory academic achievement in the most recent term. The selected recipient will receive an additional $3,500 upon successful entry into the second year of the program. If the recipient does not return to the second year of the program, the award will be available to students from historically marginalized and excluded communities in the second year of the program. Preference will be given to students in financial need.
