Ron Kachman Memorial Award

Ron Kachman was a dedicated husband, father and educator. He spent 41 years at NAIT and retired as the Dean of the School of Electrical and Electronics Technologies. Ron was a problem solver and inventor, visionary and mediator, advocate and friend. He is remembered as an educator who cared deeply about the success of his students advocated for their access to education. This award is set up in Ron’s memory by a former student (Bob Found EET 81’, IET 86’) in consultation with Ron’s family.

Available to students entering Electronics Engineering Technology, Awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need and satisfactory academic achievement. Preference given to Black, Indigenous or Persons of Colour (BIPOC).

Students must submit an application to be considered for this award.
