Alan Greenberg Bursary for Innovation in Entrepreneurship
Alan Greenberg has a remarkable career by any standards, excelling in real estate development in North America and venture capital. Alan never accepts the status quo, but has always pushed himself and his teams to focus on how to be more efficient, to better serve customers, and to reduce waste of natural resources. A specific focus of Alan’s since the 90’s is to reduce real estate’s carbon footprint. He co-founded one of the world’s first Prop Tech venture capital funds in 2015 and then a second fund in 2020 that focuses on carbon reduction and social impact solutions for real estate. A well-rounded man, he also co-founded Your Music Memory, a world-class collection of unique, iconic rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia focusing on the art of the album cover. All the while, Alan’s strong belief in community has resulted in many philanthropic commitments, including devoting his time to serve on the boards of directors of hospitals, arts organizations, and other non-profits. Alan is a steadfast and loyal friend, his word is his bond, and you can count on him when he says he will help you. It is with deep gratitude for his unwavering support, advice, and friendship that his sister-in-law, Carla Cumming Sojonky, endows this award in his honor.
