Katie Vinge-Riddell "Nailed it" Memorial Scholarship

Katie was a passionate, positive, young chef who at the age of 27 purchased The Happy Nun Cafe, a restaurant and music venue in the small hamlet of Forget, Saskatchewan. In the two years she pursued her dreams and operated the venue, she received numerous Trip Advisor Awards, was featured in the television show, The Prairie Diner, the Saskatchewan Wanderer, on CBC and just before her untimely passing was interviewed by the BBC Travel Network.

Available to students enrolled in the second year of the Culinary Arts program at NAIT. Awarded on the basis of a minimum academic achievement of 75% to a student that displays passion, creativity, consideration for others and teamwork as measured by NAIT Culinary Arts Instructors with a rubric. Students must complete the application to be considered for this award.
