Randy Stefanizyn Bursary I
Born in Viking, Alberta Randy completed his post-secondary studies in Welding Engineering and was employed at Hanson Materials Engineering. Randy began his career with Syncrude Canada when he moved to Fort McMurray in 1984. In over 30 years with Syncrude, Randy held a variety of positions, including Implementation Manager, Start-up Manager, Construction Services Manager and, most recently, Manager Corporate Labour Relations.
During this time, Randy helped found and held the position of Chair of the board of directors for Alberta Council of Turnaround Maintenance Stakeholders (ACTIMS) and Construction Industry Stakeholder Association of Alberta (CISAA) as well as being involved in other industry and community initiatives. He and his wife Lynne have two daughters, Amanda and Kelsey, and two grandchildren. This award has been established as a thank you to Randy on behalf of ACTIMS.
Available to students enrolled in a a full time credit program at NAIT. Awarded on the basis of financial need, and to a well-rounded student who demonstrates strong leadership aptitude through participation in school or community involvement/volunteer work.
Students must complete the application to be considered for this award.
