Bill Ho Memorial Scholarship

Bill emigrated from Hong Kong to Edmonton in 1976 as a Civil Engineer. He graduated in 1988 as a Respiratory Therapist from NAIT, working at the Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH) until his untimely passing away in 2009 from gastric cancer. Bill was a loving husband and father. He was well respected and loved by all who knew him. At work, Bill’s patients always came first. He was a mentor to many respiratory students at the RAH. Bill had a calming effect at work, especially during critical situations. At Bill’s funeral, one of Bill’s co-workers stated, “You knew you were going to have a good shift, when working with Bill.”

Available to a graduating student of the Respiratory Therapy program at NAIT. Awarded on the basis of top academic achievement throughout the course of the program. Students will be automatically considered for this award. No application is required.
