Jason Welke Memorial Award

Jason, a 2004 graduate of the Materials Engineering Technology program, left us far too soon in his 28th year due to complications from liver failure. He had an amazing passion for life, a quick wit and a brilliant sense of humor. His positive and optimistic outlook on life impacted everyone who had been a part of it. Jason’s inspiration and enthusiasm could easily be described in his favorite quote by the great one himself “you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take” and Jason took every shot he possibly could.

This award is available to second year students enrolled in the Materials Engineering Technology program at NAIT. Awarded on the basis of academic achievement in Non-Destructive Testing and to a student who is well rounded, exhibiting such qualities as leadership, teamwork, curiosity, and willingness to assist their fellow students.

Students will be automatically considered for this award. No application is required.
