GEARS Scholarship Foundation - Dr. Karl Puffer Scholarship

Dr. Karl Puffer was an Edmonton-based Civil Engineer and a longtime member of APEGGA. He dedicated many years to volunteering with ASET, where he played a central role in Registration and Certification. As
longtime Chair of the Certification Board, he shaped much of the modern framework for certification in Alberta. His leadership and technical expertise were instrumental in establishing the standards and procedures that continue to guide the profession today. Available to students enrolled in the following programs: Architectural Technology, Biomedical Engineering Technology, Building Automation Systems Technology, Laboratory Research and Biotechnology, Chemical Technology, Chemical Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, Engineering Design and Drafting Technology, Surveying and Geospatial Engineering Technology, Instrumentation Engineering Technology, Landscape Architectural Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Petroleum Engineering Technology, Power Engineering Technology,
and Water and Wastewater Technician. Awarded on the basis of excellent academic achievement.
