Henri Daniel Memorial Scholarship
Henri Daniel was born in 1935 on a farm west of White Star, Saskatchewan. His career started with the Saskatchewan Department of Highways where Henri decided to further his education and become an electrician. While taking his apprenticeship he worked near Saskatoon and then moved to Dawson Creek, British Columbia where he found work with an electrical contractor. His work brought him to the Yukon, the W.A.C. Bennett Dam in Hudson BC and later to the South Peace School District. Henri spent the later years of his life calling Alberta home and living in northern and central Alberta until his passing in 2024. Henri was truly a very special, wonderful, kind and hardworking man. His nieces, Sonya and Selene, created this award in his honour, knowing he would be pleased to be a small part of students’ academic journey in the Electrician Program at NAIT.
Criteria for Scholarship Selection: Available to Electrician apprenticeship students enrolled in the fourth period of the Electrician apprenticeship program. Awarded on the basis of top marks.
